A wicked 2x12” compilation of Japanese(mostly, I think!) jazz /
downtempo / deep house tracks on Universal Ape Sounds from 1994!! A-1 is a nice ‘n jazzy downtempo
track, with funky midtempo drums, groovy basslines, acoustic guitar phrases,
funky horns, and occasional male voice!! A-2 is also a nice inst breakbeats / jazz style track,
with midtempo breakbeats drums, jazzy basslines and soundtrack style funky
horns stabs!! A-4 is a deep
downtempo track, with breakbeats style downtempo drums, deep basslines, eerie
strings sounds & musical electric piano phrases!! B-1 has also a deep downtempo track
with deep basslines, musical piano phrases and muted trumpet phrases!! B-3 is a ska flavored midtempo
breakbeats track, with funky drums, ska style piano keys and deep female
voice talking over the track!!
B-5 is a deep inst jazz track(non-DJ stuff)!! C-1 has a wicked uptempo jazz track,
with fast funky drums, deep ‘n jazzy basslines, piano phrases & funky
horn stabs that reminds me of Dinosaur L track!! C-3 is a deep ‘n ambient inst track by Chari Chari!! And C-4 is a superb deep inst house
track, with raw house beats, deep basslines, musical piano keys and space-y
synthe sounds throughout the track!!
D-2 is a funky Japanese hip hop track with male MC in Japanese!! D-3 is a deep ‘n chilled out inst
jazz track!! And D-4 is a funky
reggae track, with midtempo drums, deep reggae style basslines + piano keys,
nicely applied dub effects in parts and space-y moog / synthe sounds in the
