A superb 2x12” pack for Blue Note 60th anniversary rmx LP on Toshiba
EMI/Blue Note / Fabulous label from 1999!! A-1 is a jazz/go-go style track, with driving go-go beats,
groovy basslines, strings, funky organ and sax solos in parts & female
chorus phrases on top!! A-2 is a
deep hiphop style jazzy inst downtempo track, downtempo beats, space-y synthe
sounds, musical piano phrases/solo & occasional male voice!! B-1 is another deep downtempo jazz
track by Kyoto Jazz Massive, with raw downtempo beats(not hip hop-y), deep
basslines, funky guitar solo, space-y synthe sounds, female humming style
vocal phrase & musical electric piano!! B-2 is a mid tempo breakbeats style bossa(?) track by
Fantastic Plastic Machine, with raw breatbeat style drums(about 115bpm?),
groovy basslines, funky guitar licks in the background & mellow female
vocal phrases on top!! C-1 is a
wicked downtempo jazzy inst house track by Calm, with raw downtempo house
beats, deep basslines, nicely incorporated house hats, space-y synthe sounds,
piano keys & musical flute solo on top!! C-2 is another deep inst downtempo track by DJ Krush, with
slow raw beats, deep basslines, musical ‘n dark vibe phrases, strings &
male/female chorus phrases in parts!! D-1 is a funky uptempo modern jazz
track by Sleepwalker, with uptempo drums, deep jazz basslines, funky horns
& mad piano solo over the track!!
And D-2 is a wired abstract style track by Child’s View, with no beats
except groovy rhythm by piano and weird sounding horns fragments, then it
turns into another bizarre abstract style(something like computer music from
early 70’s!), with old school drum machine sounds + synthe, and musical
piano(?) phrases on top(really hard to describe this track)! |
